High-Quality Scandinavian Leather Recliners
Chair Land specializes in modern, high-quality, real leather recliners and seating inspired by Scandinavian design.
We proudly feature Fjords Scandinavian Recliners, crafted by Hjellegjerde of Norway, along with select Himolla recliners from Germany—brands known worldwide for comfort, craftsmanship, and durability.
Because we operate as an outlet showroom, we are able to offer these premium leather recliners at guaranteed lowest prices—often significantly less than traditional furniture retailers.
Visit Our Showroom & Experience the Difference
We invite you to visit the Chair Land showroom and experience our recliners in person.
Owner Mike Ilseman personally explains the features, benefits, comfort, and craftsmanship of each chair—so you can sit, relax, and feel the difference for yourself.
There’s no pressure, no questions go unanswered, and no rushed decisions—just expert guidance and a relaxed shopping experience designed around your comfort.
Mike and Erica Ilsemann
The Founding of Chair Land
Chair Land was founded in 2007 with a simple mission: to provide customers with high-quality Scandinavian leather recliners at prices below traditional retail.
Michael Ilsemann, President of Chair Land, Inc. is a 1990 graduate of George Mason University. He served in the military as a U.S. Army Transportation Corps Officer. Mike managed Ethan Allen Furniture, a Leather Gallery, and spent five years with Haverty’s Furniture. After years in the furniture industry, Mike recognized his customers’ need for high-quality Scandinavian design and Leather Euro chairs that could be offered at an affordable price.
With this in mind, in 2007 Mike started his own company, Chair Land, beginning his dream with 6 chairs in a small showroom. With a unique concept, diligence and attention to our customers needs, over the years the Chair Land has grown into the largest selection of real leather recliners in Tampa Bay.
Today, Chair Land continues to operate with the same principles it was founded on…quality products, honest pricing, and a personal, hands-on customer experience.
The Chair Land mission is to provide exceptional service to our customers. We provide a comfortable product that is constructed of quality materials, looks great, and is an excellent value to our customer. We provide exceptional hands-on service to every customer and make your buying experience at Chair Land a true pleasure.
Our Showroom concept allows us to offer real leather recliners and chairs (no bonded leathers) all with our lowest price promise.*
Chair Land is home to Modern Leather recliners and chairs for Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Brandon, Lakeland and all communities in Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk counties.
